Richard Harke Obituary

Richard A. Harke, age 72 of Clintonville, passed away on Tuesday evening, May 4, 2021 at The Pines Post Acute & Memory Care, Township of Matteson.

Richard Allen Harke was born October 6, 1948 in Clintonville, son to the late Erich & Hazel (Koeller) Harke. He was a 1966 graduate of Clintonville High School, and after some college courses, started working in computer operation for local companies. Richard worked for the F.W.D. Corp. for over 12 years, and later for Wal-Mart and as station manager for a B.P. gas station until his retirement. He enjoyed his two cats, Junior & Snowball. Richard was an active member of St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville, where he served as an usher. He also had a soft spot for animals and volunteered for over three years at the Happily Ever After Animal Shelter. 

Richard is survived by his brothers: Donald Harke, Clintonville; & Thomas Harke, Shawano; and his sister-in-law, Carol Harke, Clintonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, James Harke; and a sister-in-law, Joan Harke.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville, with the Rev. Brian Weber officiating. Interment will take place privately at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Embarrass.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 11 AM until the time of service.
