Richard E. Lundt, age 74 of Big Falls, passed away unexpectedly at his home Wednesday June 12, 2024.
Richard Edward Lundt was born in Iola on January 14, 1950 as the son of the late Earl and Alice (Richter) Lundt. He graduated from Marion High School in 1968 and went on to operate Lundt Well Drilling Service. Later Richard got into heavy construction, and ran his own sawmill and excavating company. He served as the President for the Village of Big Falls for over 20 years and proudly helped create the Big Falls Park. Richard also was a past member of the Big Falls Bowhunters Club and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trapping throughout the years.

His Siblings: Karen Netzel and Glen (Nancy) Lundt.
A Sister-in-law: Dorothy Lundt.
Nieces and Nephews: Denise (Robert) Karpinski, Chad Lundt, Drew (Elise) Lundt, Nick (Sarah) Lundt, Brandon (Beth) Lundt, and Kellie (Kyle) Skotzke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Carl Lundt, and by his brother-in-law Gary Netzel.
A graveside service for Richard will be held at the Big Falls Cemetery Friday, July 12th, 2024 at 12pm. After the service, there will be a celebration of Richard's life at 1pm at the Big Falls Pavilion.
