Richard “Dick” N. Steenbock, age 88 of Clintonville passed away Tuesday morning, November 2, 2021 at Aster Assisted Living in Clintonville.
Richard Norman Steenbock was born on May 6, 1933 in the Town of Dupont, Waupaca County as the son of the late Harvey and Mae (Schoneck) Steenbock. Dick enjoyed sports his whole life. He played football, basketball, baseball, and ran track at Clintonville High School; graduating with the class of 1950. Dick served his country in the United States Army and returned to Clintonville after his discharge. He then went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1959 and was a big Wisconsin Badger fan ever since. After graduating from UW Madison he began working as a manager for Greyhound Transportation where he was based out of Madison, Omaha, and Chicago over his career. He rarely missed watching a Packer game and in his retirement years enjoyed taking pontoon rides at his home on the Cloverleaf Lakes. For a number of years Dick enjoyed spending the winters near Miami Beach in Florida. He was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church his entire life where he ushered for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother James Steenbock.
Dick’s funeral service will be held Friday, November 5, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Brian Weber officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9 AM until the time of the service. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting his family. If so inclined, memorials for Dick may be directed to the St. Martin Lutheran Church General Fund.
