Robert J. Day, age 76 of Tigerton, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 23, 2024 at ThedaCare Medical Center, Shawano.
Robert James Day was born August 24, 1947 in Stevens Point, WI, son to the late Roland & Vivian (Dobbe) Day. He attended Rosholt High School. Robert was united in marriage to Jane M. Schreiber at Faith Lutheran Church, Rosholt. After attending NorthCentral Technical College, he started work with the FWD Clintonville, as a machinist. He worked there for over 42 years, later retiring in 2010. In his spare time, he was able to volunteer with Challenge the Outdoors, an organization helping disabled folks with hunting and other outdoor recreation activities. He loved working on and riding snowmobiles for many years, was a lifetime member of the NRA, and enjoyed his time hunting, fishing, trap-shooting. He was a hard-worker and a loving husband who will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Jane

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his twin infant daughters; a brother, Donnie Day; a sister, Irene Day-LaVerne; and his in-laws, Reuben & Violet Schreiber.
A graveside committal and burial will take place at 1 PM Friday, January 26, 2024 at Tigerton Union Cemetery, with the Rev. Clifford Kessen officiating.
