Robert “Bob” Schuler, 84, of Clintonville, Wisconsin passed away on March 2nd, 2024, following a brief illness.


Bob was born on February 13, 1940, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, the son of the late Frederick and Evelyn (Kraft) Schuler. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Elaine Huhn, on August 10, 1968 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Appleton, Wisconsin. Bob was a proud Veteran who joined the Army and served in Germany and Switzerland during the Korean War after graduating from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. He and Elaine moved to Clintonville in 1970 where they joined St. Rose Parish. Bob worked for the Wisconsin Gas Company in Clintonville for over 30 years before retiring. Bob was a very active member of the community and his church, and he was also an avid Cubs and Bears fan. In his spare time, Bob greatly enjoyed fishing, hiking, geocaching, tennis, woodworking projects, and spending time with his wife and family.


Bob is survived by his beautiful bride of 56 years, Elaine, their two children, daughter Sarah of Germantown, Wisconsin; and son David (Peter Heyer) of Hinsdale, Illinois, and their two children Maliah and Gavin. He is also survived by three brothers, Doug (Marjorie Hicks), Rick (Gloria McPhearson), and Fred (Jan Schuler), numerous nephews, nieces, other loving relatives and incredible friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Michel.


Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville with Fr. Jack Mullarkey and Fr. Timothy Shillcox O. Praem officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Military honors will be conducted outside of church following the service by members of the Clintonville American Legion Post #63, VFW Post #664, American Legion Auxiliary #63, and D.A.V. Chapter #53. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the City of Clintonville Veterans Wall Expansion project (City of Clintonville Department of Public Works, 50 10th St., Clintonville, WI 54929) or the St. Rose Building Fund (140 Auto St., Clintonville, WI 54929).
