Roger Miller Obituary

Roger Leonard Miller, age 82 of Clintonville, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening December 29, 2022 at Cherry Meadows Hospice Center in Appleton.

Roger was born on June 1, 1940 in the Town of Bear Creek, Waupaca County as the son of the late Leonard and Martha (Neitzke) Miller. He graduated from Clintonville High School with the class of 1958. Roger was united in marriage to Ruth Wolff of Clintonville on November 16th 1963 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in the Town of Pella, Shawano County. The couple were blessed with six children. Roger had various jobs earlier in life before finding his passion for farming. He farmed alongside his wife Ruth in the Town of Bear Creek for many years before their retirement in 2009. The couple then moved to Clintonville. Roger continued to go out to the family farm almost everyday to help his son until his recent illness. Roger’s favorite thing to do on the farm was to drive tractor. He was a lifetime member of Christus Lutheran Church. Roger was always there for his children and grandchildren and looked forward to Sunday lunch which was usually at Roger & Ruth’s house. After Ruth passed, lunch was at one of the children’s houses where this tradition has continued and everyone looks forward to these special moments and all the good food. He also enjoyed Friday night fish fries as he enjoyed going out to dinner with family for food, drinks, and some socializing. Even though Roger struggled after his first stroke in July, his stubbornness helped him accomplish many obstacles he faced and he didn’t give up without a fight.
