Roger R. O’Brien, age 75 of the Township of Larrabee, passed away on Monday evening, April 5, 2021 at Birch Hill Health Services, Shawano.
Roger Ray O’Brien was born May 10, 1945 in Rice Lake, WI, son to the late Ray & Violet (Fahrenkrug) O’Brien. After high school, Roger began working for James Cape & Sons Co., Racine, WI as an operating engineer, and was involved in many of the road construction projects in Wisconsin. He worked for the company for over 40 years. He was united in marriage to Joanne Haas on April 24, 1965 in Racine, WI. Toward the end of his working years, Roger started a small engine repair business; O’Brien Small Engine, which he and Joanne ran in the 1980’s and 90’s; he fully retired in the early 2000’s. Roger was great at fixing things and working with his hands. He liked to ride his Harley-Davidson Sportster. While he could be stubborn at times, Roger was generous when it came to his family and would help anyone who needed it. He also loved being a grandfather over the last number of years.
Roger is survived by his wife, Joanne

Brother: Dale (Barb) O’Brien, Kiel
Many nieces, nephew, cousins, and in-laws
Roger was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
Memorial services will be held 11 AM, Friday April 9, 2021 at Hope Community Church, Shawano, with Pastor Chris Secor officiating.
Friends may call on Friday at the church from 10 AM until the time of service.
