Russell "Russ" J. Koepke

Russell “Russ” J. Koepke, age 54 of the Town of Deer Creek, Outagamie County passed away March 19, 2023 unexpectedly at his home.

Our hearts are broken with our loss of son, brother, uncle and friend Russell. He was born as the son of Dona (Merrill) Koepke and the late Melvin Koepke. Russell graduated from Clintonville High School with the Class of 1987. He attended MSOE and UW-Milwaukee; graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was currently employed at Green Sand Controls, Inc. in Fremont as a Senior Controls Engineer. Russell enjoyed snowmobiling, auctions, repairing machinery, tractor shows, traveling, hunting, fishing and farming. He will lovingly be remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor, knowledge and quirky one liners. We will certainly miss his engineering skills as he could fix almost anything. How do we learn to live in a world without him, he is part of our identity, part of us, part of our past, our future.

Nieces & Nephews: Zachary (Olivia) Koepke and sons Lincoln, Leo, & Louie; Danielle (Kyle) Florence and daughter Mia; Rachel (Fiance Mitch Kettner) Koepke; Jacob (Ashlyn) Koepke and son Peter; Leah (Ben) Johnson and baby on the way; Sarah Koepke; Junior and Cheyenne Schilling; and Boone Reopelle.

Special Aunt: Marie Merrill and cousins Susan (Quentin) Mounts, Joe (Kari) Merrill and Joe’s daughters Vanessa & Savannah, and Katherine (John) Mitchell and their sons Billy & Johnny who spent a lot of time at the farm.

Russell was preceded in death by his father Melvin Koepke, paternal grandparents Harold & Alvena Koepke, maternal grandparents Donald & Verna Merrill, an uncle Bill Merrill, and brother-in-law Jon Reopelle.

Russell’s funeral service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 11am at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Shiocton with Rev. Paul Hinz officiating. The church has staircase access only so please plan accordingly. A luncheon will follow in the church basement and inurnment will take place later in spring at the Restland Cemetery in the Town of Deer Creek. Visitation will be held Friday March 24, 2023 from 5-8pm at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville and at the church on Saturday from 10am until the time of service. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
