Sandra “Sandi” M. Knapp, age 83 of the Town of Maple Creek, Outagamie County passed away Saturday morning December 28, 2024 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour.
Sandra May Warmbrunn was born on May 1, 1941 in the Town of Little Wolf, Waupaca County as the daughter of the late John and Martha (Wroblewski) Warmbrunn. As a young girl she moved with her family to New London where she graduated from High School. On August 5, 1961 Sandi was united in marriage to John Kempf. The couple had 2 children prior to John’s death in 1974. Sandi was employed as a secretary for New London Engineering for a short time then worked over 25 years at Thrivent Financial in Appleton until her retirement. On August 23, 1975 Sandi was united in marriage to Russell Knapp at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London where they were members. Russell also preceded Sandi in death this past September. In her spare time Sandi enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, being outdoors camping or fishing, going out to eat with family, and playing a good game of sheephead.
Survivors include: Her Daughter: Sheila (John) Gehrt.
Grandsons: John Kempf & Jeremiah (Hope) Kosmerchock.
Sisters-in-law: Pat Warmbrunn, Dorothy Stilen, and Kathy (DuWayne) Buelow.
Nieces: Colleen (Rollin) Drews & family, Cathy VanDehey & family, Tricia Lopas & family, Jennifer (Ferdi) Galang & family, and Tim (Stephanie) Buelow & family.
Sandi was preceded in death by her parents John & Martha Warmbrunn, husbands John Kempf and Russell Knapp, a son Michael Kempf, and a brother Frank Warmbrunn.
Sandi’s funeral service will be held Wednesday January 8, 2025 at 11am at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory (South Location), 299 S. Main Street, Clintonville, WI 54929 with Rev. Seth Dorn officiating. Interment will take place in spring at the New Maple Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9am until the time of the service.
