Sharon M. Barnick, nee Draheim, age 84 of Hortonville passed away peacefully Sunday morning September 3, 2023 at Care Partner’s in Hortonville.
Sharon Mae Draheim was born on January 10, 1939 in Clintonville as the daughter of the late Harold and Elda (Beyersdorf) Draheim. She grew up in the Town of Dupont, Waupaca County and graduated from Marion High School with the Class of 1956. As a young mother, Sharon was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Dupont where she enjoyed serving as the church’s organist for many years. Sharon enjoyed playing softball, crocheting, and working in her garden and eventually canning her harvest. Her specialties were pickles and tomato juice which she couldn’t wait to share with family and friends. Sharon lived in a number of places throughout her life and worked as a cook for places like Pine Manor Health Care Center in Embarrass and Mathew’s Supper Club in Clintonville. She had a spunky attitude at times and looked forward to anything that involved spending time around her family. Sharon rarely missed watching a Brewers, Packers, or Badgers game. She had a collection of angels, always kept God first in her life, and was currently a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville.
