Shaun Leonard Blackney

Shaun L. Blackney, age 36 of Caribou, ME, passed away on April 23, 2024 at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME.

Shaun Leonard Blackney was born August 2, 1987 in Orlando, FL, son to Jerry & Willa (Long) Blackney. For one who left this world too soon, he did so much. Shaun always looked out for others. As a soldier, he protected our freedom here in the U.S.; he also looked out for the men and women he served alongside with honor. Shaun loved music and would seek out new bands that no one had heard of just so he could give them support. He would often show affection by dancing with his girlfriend while humming in her ear. In his spare time he loved to practice his guitar, learning his favorite songs or writing his own. With his degree in social services, he had a way of looking into people and bringing out the best in them. He always wanted to do more by getting a degree in psychology in the future. Shaun never forgot to have fun and enjoy life. He will be remembered for his servant heart, creative mind, and the love he showed to family and friends.
