Obituary
Steven R. Netzel, age 68 of Wittenberg, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at his home.
Steven Ray Netzel was born on September 20, 1954 in Montana, to Willard and Lucille (Larsen) Netzel. Steve attended Marion High School, graduating with the class of 1972. He then married Sally Anker on July 3, 1976. Steve worked several jobs throughout his life, including: construction work, FWD Seagrave, and Marion Body Works. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening; really anything related to the outdoors. He also loved spending time with his grandkids. Steve also really loved music, especially watching his son Chris play live.
Steven is survived by:
Mother: Lucille Netzel, Clintonville
Daughter: Sarah (Phil) Rew, Pella
Sons: Christopher (Jen) Roever, Bear Creek & Casey (Faunda) Netzel, Marion
Grandchildren: Aiden, Stella, Devyn, Dejah, Keara, Christian, Fiona, Layla, Lydia, Jaeger, & Isaiah
Great-granddaughter: Emberly
Sisters: Lori (Bob) Ausloos, Lisa (Bruce) Romberg, & Carolyn (Dennis) Sturm
Brother: Larry (Helen) Netzel & Mark (Mary) Netzel
Steven was preceded in death by his father, Willard Netzel; a sister, Sheila Schmidt; & a brother, Lance Netzel.
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held by his family at a later date.
The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Marion is assisting the Netzel family.
