Suzanne Rew Obituary

Suzanne M. Rew, age 71, of Clintonville passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Monday, October 18, 2021 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah.

The former Suzanne Marie Plesser was born on July 26, 1950 in Milwaukee, WI, to Raymond and Bernice (Woyak) Plesser.  Sue lived most of her life in Clintonville where she raised her family.  She worked multiple jobs, most notably with Donaldson's Cleaning Center and Specialized Products.  She retired in 2015.  Sue was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church where all five of her children attended school.  Sue was a woman of great faith and wholeheartedly believed in the promises of Jesus.  She believed in the power of prayer and turned to Him in times of weakness and struggle, while celebrating in thanksgiving for all her blessings.  Her children and grandchildren were the loves of her life and she always put their needs ahead of her own.  She loved to spend her quiet time reading or working on puzzles, while her active time was spent working in the yard, talking with her neighbors, helping others, and playing with her grandchildren.  She always said "yes" to whatever the kids wanted to do, including playing soccer or baseball, coloring, watching cartoons, or going on long walks around the baseball diamonds.  She always needed a few days of recovery time after an outing with Becca and Michael.

Sue is survived by her five children:  Philip Rew (Sarah) of Marion, Brian Rew of Neenah, Aaron Rew (Krista) of Freedom, Carla Rew of Marquette, MI and Laurie Rew of Appleton.  She is also survived by her two grandchildren:  Rebecca and Michael Rew.  Sue is further survived by her brother James Plesser of Clintonville and sisters Joanne (Chuck) Hoffmann of Appleton, Mary Kay Plesser of Cedarburg, Terri (Mark) Suski of Lake Villa, IL, Chris (Paul) Nelson of Appleton and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents Raymond & Bernice Plesser and Donald J. Rew.

A visitation and funeral service will be held at Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home in Clintonville on Saturday, October 23, 2021.  Visitation will begin at 2pm with the funeral service to follow at 4pm.  Pastor Dennis Pierce from Appleton Alliance Church will preside over the service.

Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral & Crematory of Clintonville will be assisting the family.

Sue's children would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Clintonville and New London First Responders, along with the Doctors and Hospital Staff of ThedaCare Medical Center of Neenah.  Your compassion and tender care of our Mother will never be forgotten.
