Timothy "Tim" Zilch Obituary

Timothy “Tim” A. Zilch, age 51 of Clintonville, passed away on Monday July 1, 2024 at Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton.

Timothy Allen Zilch, born on January 12, 1973, in Bellevue, Washington, peacefully passed away, leaving behind a life rich in experiences, love, and cherished memories. Timothy was a man of many talents and boundless energy, always dedicated to his family and his community.

Timothy's early life was marked by his commitment to helping his family, which led him to forgo completing high school to support them. This early sense of responsibility and dedication became a cornerstone of his character. His career journey was diverse and reflective of his versatile skills, including numerous jobs that showcased his hardworking nature and adaptability. However, the most important role he embraced was being a devoted husband and father.

Timothy met the love of his life, Ann Zilch, while working at Eversons IGA. Their sweet date over Dairy Queen ice cream at Olen Park blossomed into a beautiful marriage on March 28, 1998, at the old Family of Christ Church in Clintonville. Together, Timothy and Ann built a loving family with two wonderful children, Christopher and Alicia.

Timothy's greatest joy came from being a full-time dad as his children grew older. He never missed an opportunity to be there for his family, always prioritizing their needs and happiness. His entrepreneurial spirit shone through in his ventures, including running a news media business, TWZINEWS and WGWI Publications, with his best friend Wayne. They covered local news, fire calls, and more, contributing valuable content to local newspapers and news stations. Timothy was also a dedicated storm spotter for Waupaca County, combining his passion for weather with community service.

Music was the heartbeat of Timothy's life. From a young age, when he landed one of his first jobs as a broadcaster at WTCH Shawano, his passion for music was undeniable. His childhood home was always filled with melodies, nurturing his deep love for country music. As the years went by, he longed to share this passion more widely, which led him to create his own radio station, WTAZ County, dedicated to classic country tunes.

Timothy wasn't just a listener; he was a creator. He had a gift for songwriting, with dreams of one day becoming a country singer and recording an album of his own compositions. His love for music wasn't confined to his radio station or his songwriting. It spilled over into his everyday life, from his impressive collection of CDs spanning genres from rock to pop, to his infectious enjoyment of karaoke, where his vibrant spirit shone through. Timothy had a knack for bringing joy to others with his voice, whether he was performing karaoke songs online or singing along to the radio during car rides, the volume cranked up and his heart full of song.

Timothy cherished time spent with his family, whether it was enjoying outings to Dave & Buster's, racing go-karts at Bay Beach, going fishing, or simply going for car rides. His love for bingo and dining out added to his enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures.

Timothy's warm personality and ability to connect with anyone made him a beloved figure in his community. His sense of humor, kind heart, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Timothy is survived by his children, Christopher and Alicia, his mother Marlene, his two brothers, Eddy (Michelle) Zilch and Arthur Zilch, and a brother in Christ, Wayne Gauger. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Ann, who preceded him in death, and his father, Eddy, who passed away in 2013, as well as his father in Christ Duane "Wayne Sr." F. Gauger. Together, Timothy and Ann’s legacy of love and dedication to family and community will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know them.

In honoring Timothy's memory, let us celebrate the remarkable life he led and the love he shared with everyone around him.

A celebration of Tim’s life will be held privately at a later date.
