Violet J. (Blundon) Korb

Violet J. Korb, age 97 of Tigerton passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, December 3, 2025 at Shawano Health Services.

Violet Joan Blundon was born as the 3rd oldest child of 12 on April 9, 1928 in Milwaukee as the daughter of the late Edward and Molly (Berg) Blundon. She grew up strong with 11 siblings and was later united in marriage to Marvin Korb on November 23, 1946 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Violet worked at Sears and became a Teacher’s Aide for Hawthorne Elementary School in Milwaukee. In 1972 the couple moved to Tigerton where Violet worked at Gwidt Pharmacy and also as a Teacher’s Aide for Tigerton Elementary School. She was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Morris, Shawano County where she enjoyed singing in the church choir. Violet was a wonderful cook and enjoyed playing cards in her spare time. She will be remembered as a very loving and selfless mother.

Survivors include:
Her Children: Gary Korb, Randy (Debbie) Korb, & Susan Rogers.
Grandchildren: Sarah (Leon) Hayner, Joe (Amber) Korb, David Korb, Ashley (Katie) Kohn, Alex Niemuth, & John (Heather) Rogers, Jr.
Great-Grandchildren: Abby & Chase Hayner, Lauren, Jayden, London, & Camryn Kohn, Owen Korb, and Cody & Braylie Rogers. 
A Sister: Judy Koch.
A Brother: Marvin Blundon.
As well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Molly Blundon, her husband Marvin Korb in 2013, her son-in-law John Rogers, Sr., a daughter-in-law Mary Korb, by her great-grandchildren Kaleb & Brynleigh Rogers, and by 9 siblings.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Morris, Shawano County. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Tigerton is assisting her family. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
