Wayne R. Olson

Wayne R. Olson, age 79 of Ogema, WI formerly of Embarrass, WI passed away Saturday evening, September 23, 2023 at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Wayne Robert Olson was born on May 23, 1944 in Fort Atkinson, WI as the son of the late Hjalmer and Leona (Ehlert) Olson. He graduated from Clintonville High School and was united in marriage to Sandra Young on May 22, 1965 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville. The couple made their home in Embarrass while Wayne worked as an Electrical Engineer for FWD Seagrave in Clintonville until his retirement. The couple enjoyed spending time at the Kastle Kampground south of Marion where they had a permanent site. Sandra preceded her husband in death in 2019 and Wayne then moved in with his daughter’s family. He enjoyed the simple things in life like being around family, reading a good book, cooking, feeding the deer, watching his garden grow, and spending time by the lake. 

Survivors include:
His Daughters: Michelle (Dave) Huber & Tanya Ubersox.
Grandchildren: James (Emily) Hicks, Brenton (Ariel Cruz) Hicks, Alyssa (Jacob Rineck) Coan, Richard Ubersox, Lance Ubersox, and Kolbe Ubersox.
Great-Grandchildren: Kaiden, Elaina, Lana, and Gweneth.
Also numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Sandra, his parents, his beloved step-father Bernard Stabnaw, a son-in-law Tim Ubersox, and a grandson Jordan Ubersox.

Wayne’s celebration of life will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home North Location (53 N. Main Street, Clintonville, WI 54929) from 1pm and will conclude with family prayers at 2pm. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
