Wuske LaVonne

La Vonne "Vonnie" Wuske, age 62 years, of Spaulding St., Tigerton passed away Sunday, August 14, 2005 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg.

The former La Vonne Faye Griepentrog was born at home on November 28, 1942 in Tigerton to George and Serena "Judy" (McFarlane) Griepentrog. Vonnie graduated from Tigerton High School in 1960. She was united in marriage to Gerald "Tiny" Wuske on April 28, 1962 at Zion Lutheran Church, Tigerton. The couple lived for many years on Weasel Dam Rd., rural Tigerton. Vonnie's career as a nurse's aide spanned over 20 years, beginning at Greentree Nursing Home, then working at the Behling Home, and finally being employed at Homme Home. Her husband Tiny passed away on June 22, 1997 and Vonnie moved into town in 2002. She is a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Caroline, and in the past helped with Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Vonnie's interests included singing, polkas, fishing and rubber stamping. She enjoyed spending time with family and loved to spoil her grandchildren.

Survivors include three children; Scott (fiancee Janel Lyon) Wuske of Clintonville, Jerry Wuske of Tigerton, and Lisa (Doug) Strehlow of Clintonville. There are 11 grandchildren; Andy, Doug Jr., Stephanie, Jonathon, Johnny, Chelsea, Travis, Amanda, Casey, Cally and Lacy. She is further survived by her parents, George & Judy Griepentrog of Tigerton, a daughter-in-law, Cindy Wuske of Marion, one sister, Cheryl (Robert) Lehman of Tigerton, four brothers, Warren (Ann) of Tigerton, Randy (friend Robin) of Tigerton, Glenn (Lori) of Elderon, and Jay of Tigerton, and many other relatives and friends. Vonnie is preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Faye.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 18th at 7:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Caroline. Rev. William Schruba will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at the church. The Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Tigerton, is assisting the family.
