Alton “Al” J. Rixner, age 84 of Clintonville, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the Pine Manor Health Care Center, Embarrass.
“Al” was born on November 7, 1929 in New Orleans, LA, the son of the late Richard and Theresa (Lochbaum) Rixner. He was raised in Louisiana. Al served in the U.S. Air Force between 1947 until his honorable discharge in 1950. From 1950 until 1976, he served in the Army National Guard. Al later moved to Colorado where he worked in sales at a furniture store. A customer walked in the furniture store, Arlene Rose Alto and the rest was history. The couple married in Tucson, AZ on May 18, 2000. They lived in various states throughout their married life until 2007 when they moved to Clintonville. Al was a member of the St. MartinLutheran Church, Clintonville. His hobbies included fishing, keeping up with current events, watching CNN and reading military periodicals.

Kjordis Christie (Dennis Grake), Appleton
His step-son: Ronald Alto, Colorado
Numerous Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren
His brother: Earl (Lucille) Rixner, Shreveport, LA and their family, Chyrl and Larry
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Grace Holems, a niece Barbara and a step-son David Alto,
Memorial graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the St. Martin Lutheran Cemetery, Clintonville with the Rev. Christian Burg officiating.
Military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the American Legion Post #63 and the V.F.W. Post #664 of Clintonville.
