Yesterday we were with my dad, Bill Wilms, and family, as we celebrated his 90th birthday. I shared with him that I had seen the notice of Bernice's passing, and brought the obituary for him to read. He was sorry to hear of her passing, and wondered how Clarence is doing. Clarence and Bernice have always been very special to him. We all send our sympathy, thoughts and prayers to your family.

Aunt Bernice welcomed me into their home for the very first time as a newlywed (married their only nephew, Jerry) in Dec., 1978. The food that she prepared was better than a fancy restaurant's and certainly prepared with love. Over the years, we were blessed to join Aunt Bernice and Uncle Clarence at their table several times in Wisconsin and in their winter home here in Florida. We were so honored that they, along with Uncle Roy, were able to join our family at church and listen to Jerry preach. Aunt Bernice knew Jesus and deeply loved Him, as was evident in her life in countless ways.
Jerry and I will treasure the last birthday cards and letter we received in September. In it she wrote about her "piano practice, about an hour a day"!
99 and still playing piano, painting, cooking, and using a computer!! One of her many lessons to me...Never quit!
I'll miss you, Aunt Bernice. I know you've already met our Avery Diane, so please rock her and sing to her for me. I love you!

Bernice is surely rejoicing with the Jesus she so dearly loved and served all her days.
when I look at the beautiful plates and other rosemauling articles she sent our way, I
will never grow tired of her wonderful talent and sweet disposition !!!
What a totally lovely and unselfish friend. So loved by all she came in contact
with. But I will never miss her as much as her beloved Clarence.
what a legacy of love and service.
We will miss you, dear Bernice .

Jean & Carla - your Mom was such a special lady. I could talk with her like I'd talk to my own mom & I will miss her and our little visits. She always looked on the bright side of things & tried to keep a positive attitude. She & Clarence faithfully visited my mom & dad, which they always appreciated. (And I appreciated that too.) Now Heaven is celebrating the arrival of a special angel!
