Dale E. Braun, age 75 of Marion, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015, at his residence.
Dale Emil Braun was born July 10, 1939 in New London, to the late Arthur and Adeline (Schuelke) Braun. After graduation from Manawa High School in 1957, he attended U.W. Madison, and later studied at Texas A&M in 1996. Dale was united in marriage to Dianne Drath on April 30, 1961 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Town of Dupont. The couple lived in Milwaukee, Manawa, Jonesboro, GA, and in 1971 they settled in Marion. As a licensed cheese maker, he worked at Frigo Cheese, Symco, as well as the Coca Cola Company, in Milwaukee. Dale started work in the dairy industry, then worked as a federal USDA meat inspector based out of Green Bay, retiring in 2004. Following Dianne’s passing, Dale was re-married to Audrey Buss at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Town of Grant, where he was an active member. Dale also served his community as a former member of the Marion Lions Club, as President of the Marion Pond Association, President of the Little Creek Cemetery Association, and served on the board of the Wolf River Conservation Alliance. Dale was fond of fishing and the outdoors, as well as collecting coins and gardening.

His grandchildren: Hayley Braun; Allison, Owen, and Ethan Braun; Dylan & Ben Wilson, Makayla & Nathan Christopherson; Sherry, Samantha & Shane Dewhurst; Victoria, Noah & Joshua Miller.
His sister: Mary (Tom) Wolf, Clintonville
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dianne, and his sisters Dorothy Gurrath and Margaret Andersen, and a grand-daughter Alexis Wilson.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, May 15, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Town of Grant, with Rev. Matthew Uttenreither & Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating.
Friends may call at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Marion on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 4-7 PM, and on Friday at the church from 10 AM until the time of the service.
Interment will take place at Little Creek Cemetery, Town of Little Wolf.
