My heart goes out to your entire family. We had the privilege of being neighbors and what a welcoming kind neighbor all of you were. Ed was full of wit and kindness and wonderful stories all with a twist of humor. My prayers are with you as the strength of faith and family help you to heal.

Our sincere condolences to Shirley and the entire family on Ed's passing. A kind, considerate man who also knew how to enjoy life to its fullest. And he did. You should be proud of him as we are sure you are. The Marion area has lost a great guy.

Our thoughts, prayers and condolences to the Carley family circle. Just a few days prior to Ed's passing Doug and I observed that Ed was something of a Marion icon, best known for his smile and charming ways. We feel blessed to have known Ed and had so many opportunities to enjoy his humor and his caring nature. We will not be able to attend either the visitation or service, but please know our thoughts will be with you, and in the years to come we will frequently mention Ed, as will so many other residents of the greater Marion area.

I've known the Carley family since I was a kid growing up in Marion. Great family. Our sympathies and prayers go out to Shirley and the "kids". Ed was a great guy for sure. He'll be missed. But he was a mover and a shaker and lived a good life. Rest in peace Mr. Carley.

My sincere condolences to the Carley clan. I will never forget my Uncle Ed’s heartfelt warmth, kindness, & love, when visiting the Carley farm from the big city. Heartbroken in Florida. Flying up Thursday. Can’t wait to celebrate his incredible life, with the most wonderful family I had the privilege of growing up with; The Carley’s! As Ed once said: “Not a bad apple and a bunch”.
