Sally J. (Brandenberg) Flink

Sally J. Flink, age 82 of Marion, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 at her residence.

Sally was born on February 2, 1933 in Clintonville as the daughter of the late Leonard and Ida (Keller) Brandenberg.  She graduated from Marion High School in 1951.  On August 1, 1953 Sally was united in marriage to James “Jim” Flink at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marion where the couple were current members.  Sally enjoyed volunteering at church over the years as a member of the Ladies Aid and also helped out with the flower committee. Sally enjoyed making quilts and was an excellent card player who had been known to alter the rules in her favor from time to time. Some of her favorite card games were canasta, sheephead, and bridge. Family was everything to Sally.  She loved spending time with all of them; especially when it came to watching Jim cook.

Survivors include:  Her Husband: Jim.

Daughters:  Laurie (Todd) Pamperin, Marion

                   Connie (Brian) Brei, Marion.

Sons: Mike (Jill) Flink, Marion.

          Jeff Flink, Sr., Marion.

Grandchildren: Jeff Flink, Jr., Sarah (Duane) Jarvais, Ashley Flink, Mark (Megan) Brei, and Andrew & Brett Brei.

Great-Grandchildren:  Cameron Flink and Lexi & Danica Jarvais.

A Sister: Nancy (Marlyn) Bailey, Iola.

Also numerous nieces & nephews.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son.

Sally’s memorial service will be held Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 11 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marion with Rev. Brad Dokken officiating.  Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, Sally’s family would appreciate memorials to the St. John’s Roof Fund.
