Arlyn “Lenny” F. Olmsted, age 93 of Waupaca, formerly of Clintonville, entered his Heavenly Home with the Lord on January 27, 2015 at Park Vista Retirement in Waupaca.
Arlyn was born on December 31, 1921 as the son of the late Guy & Rachel (Church) Olmsted. He was confirmed at the Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville where he was still a current member. Arlyn was united in marriage to Ruby Behnke on July 11, 1941 at Christus. He was active at church as a member of the church council as well as the church choir. Arlyn was raised as a farmer, then worked for Kerstner Oil Co., and later became a welder and foreman at Seagrave F.W.D. in Clintonville, retiring in 1986. Arlyn enjoyed traveling with his wife Ruby and spending the winters in Arizona. He was an avid outdoorsman; especially when it came to deer hunting or taking a fishing trip to Canada with his sons. While in Arizona, Arlyn enjoyed bowling & hiking, and was active with Zion Lutheran Church where he used his carpentry skills to help build a 6 room Sunday school building. If something was broke, he could fix it. Arlyn enjoyed passing his knowledge down to his children and grandchildren and loved spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include: His wife Ruby of 73 years.

John (Colleen) Olmsted, Canton, GA.
Thomas (Debbie) Olmsted, Waupaca.
Timothy (Ronda) Olmsted, Pulaski.
Numerous Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren.
Arlyn was preceded in death by his parents, a son Jerome in Vietnam, a daughter Barbara Schampers, all of his sisters & brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 11 AM at Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Benjamin Hollingsead officiating.
