Ruby and Family,,,Sorry to hear about Lenny's passing. Lots of great memories from years ago, "up at the cottage" on Shawano Lake. It was nice to see both of you a couple of years ago @ Margie's birthday party. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

What a shock to hear of our dear friend Lenny's death, but what wonderful memories we have of him. Yes, laughter and fun sums it up pretty well. He had a sharp mind, and wit to make you laugh all the time. Just 2 weeks ago this sunday, we were privaledged again, to have brunch with you, Ruby, and your dear Lenny. What a hoot, as he cracked jokes with us and Pat and Dan as we sat around the table there in Waupaca. We will remember all the good times, and I'm sure he's up in heaven, just kidding everyone, and enjoying his loved ones who went ahead of him. Our sincere sympathy to you, Ruby, and your entire family who loved Lenny so much. May God Bless all of you with his peace.

Fond memories of Lenny with my dad Gib.  My father in law Keith Beggs had a favorite Lenny story.  They went out for steak when they took there boys to school in Chicago.   When the waitress asked Lenny how rare he wanted his steak he replied "knock the horns off and wipe the xxx".  Keith loved telling that story.

Lenny was such a positive role model when I grew up next to the Olmsteds back in the late 40’s and 50’s. Three things stick out in my mind: his mechanical gifts, his great work ethic, and his common sense approach. One gem of wisdom he passed on, and which I’ve quoted many times: “Nothing’s a bargain unless you need it.” What an impressive fellow and what an impressive life!

To Ruby and family,
We shared many happy times with Lenny, hikes, parties and working on various projects. He always had the kindest and most patient outlook on life--and a talent for gentle teasing. We were fortunate to have known him for so long and will miss him greatly.

What a great guy. Those fishing trips to Canada with Tim and Dave and all the rest of those guys were some of the best times I ever had. Arlyn I bet you got 'em laughing up there already.

Ruby and family: We really miss seeing Lenny out on the porch when we take our morning walks. He always had something entertaining to share with us. Working with Lenny on Pancake Breakfast was an absolute joy! The verbal banter kept us all in stitches. Laughter ruled the day! As Ken LaPrairie's sidekick, many sheds, porches, decks, and rooms display Lenny's skills as a handyman. Once the day's work was done they were off to the hot tub for more banter and laughs. Lenny was truly a loveable character.

We shared so many happy and memorable times with you and all the Olmsteds
You lived 93 years of hard work and you were rewarded by a loving and loyal family who adored you until the day you passed. The family will miss your presence here on earth, but they now know they'll have an angel in heaven to watch over them.

Ruby and Family:

I recall all the good times that you and my family had. I remember best all the projects. Ether working on cars or cutting wood. Most of all Arlyn always was there to help with my projects. He helped me to understand to help others. Over the years I would see him and he would always have a smile on his face and had to give me a hard time over something and we would laugh. I know he is with his friends now trying build something.
