Our blessings and sympathies go out to Rose and the Sasse family. Al was a good friend, brother-in-law and Canadian fishing buddy. He always had a great, kind and generous heart. He will be missed by all who knew him. It is over now, but what a great life Al has had. Surely our Lord will be happy to greet him.

It was truly a pleasure to get to know Al these past several years in visiting him in my role at church. We always found a lot to talk about; hunting, fishing, his time in the service, and any number of other things. I always loved it when he took me out to the garden to "show me around", always leaving with a couple of 5 gallon pails of goodies. His generosity was beyond measure, and it showed in his sharing the bounty from his garden or in the way he served his country. It was very special for me to know how much he appreciated my visits. May God comfort his family during this difficult time.

My heartfelt condolences to the Sasse family. Any time I went to pay my property taxes, Al was sitting at the table and it would be an hour before I got out of the house. I truly enjoyed those visits. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him. Rom 15:13
