May the family find comfort in loving memories, and in knowing that God is "close to those that are broken at heart; and he saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) Our loving Creator, Jehovah God, has promised to soon "swallow up death forever...and wipe the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25:8) With deepest sympathy. Most heartfelt condolences to Mary and the kids. Dale and I were classmates from 7th grade on through graduation. He was a gentle giant in our class. Tall and strong and always always with that smile! What a wonderful member of our class he was too. Always there to help. One of the guys everyone loved. Couldn't help but smile when he came by. He will be remembered fondly by all of us. Will miss you at the reunions, Dale. Way too soon to lose you. I just know you are in the center of our circle of 1967 classmates that have gone on before us and all way too soon..... still sporting that smile!

Dear Mary and family: We know for certain where Dale's soul is ~ at perfect peace and rest in Christ at the Lamb's High Feast! Dale was a solid, faithful Lutheran who lived the true Christian faith by loving and forgiving others just as God in Christ has loved and forgiven him; and now He has even taken His beloved servant, Dale, to be with Him forever in the blessedness of everlasting life. Lori and I will never forget his smile and words of encouragement and support as I was in pre-seminary studies at CUW (some 27 years ago). He will be truly missed, but yet we know and trust that nothing "will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:39) And at the Lord's Supper this past Sunday, I thought of Dale Zahn, numbered with Christ and "angels and archangels and with all the company of heaven." In Christ, in our Baptisms into Him, and in His Holy Communion at His Table, all His saints, living and departed, are always together in true peace and joy! Mary, Mike, Heidi and Ryan, the Lord Jesus Christ is with you always, and your husband and father is always with the Lord. We look forward to the blessed reunion in heaven, indeed, the final harvest!

I am so sorry to hear this. Dale was too young to be taken. As a classmate in high school and attending St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Dale was always a sweet guy with a cute smile. Our families knew each other for years. Sending my thoughts and prayers to Dale's family and friends.

I grew up in St. Peter's. Dale and the Zahn family were always there with a smile and the willingness to help when there was a need. Last chatted with Dale on the steps of St. Peters a few years ago. A nice memory. May you find comfort and joy in your memories and in Christ's everlasting love.

My most heart felt sorrow in the passing of Dale. He and I spent a lot of time growing up on the family farm. A great shock, but he is now with the Lord!
