Donald William Klitz

Donald William Klitz, age 86 of the Town of Pella, Shawano County, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Appleton Medical Center.

Donald was born July 11, 1929 in Pella to Fred and Clara (Ahlgrimm) Klitz.  He was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pella.  He attended Marion High School and was later united in marriage to Elaine Meyer on July 14, 1951 at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano.  Donald worked for several area farmers and trucked milk for FR Buss Co. before going to West Allis in 1950 to work at Pressed Steel Tank Co; retiring in 1991.  The couple then moved back to Pella after living in Greendale, WI for 40 years.   For 12 years he was a volunteer fireman for Greendale and also several years for Pella. Donald greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being “Mr. Fix-it”.

Survivors include: His wife of 64 years:  Elaine.

Son: Donald Jeffrey (Carol) Klitz, Markesan.

Granddaughter: Ann (Matthew) Hockett, Duluth, MN.

Grandsons: William Klitz, Washington D.C. & Donald Lucas Klitz, New Richmond.

Great-Grandson: Braxton Hockett, Duluth, MN.

Sisters-in-law: Beatrice Klitz, Caroline; Florence Klitz, Appleton; & Diane (Wayne) Krueger, Neenah.

Brothers-in-law: Mer Meyer, Suamico & David (Pili) Meyer, Port Angeles, WA.

Also many nieces & nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, brothers; Ruben, Roland, & Vilas, a sister Lucille McKenna, brothers-in-law; Vern McKenna & Ralph Meyer, and sisters-in-law; Patti Meyer & Lorraine Meyer.
