Frank Jay Roe Sr.

Frank J. Roe Sr. age 86 of Denver, CO, formerly of the Marion area, passed away August 23, 2016 at WestLake Care Community, Lakewood, CO.

Frank Jay Roe Sr. was born May 5, 1930 in Indiana to the late Dennis & Ethel Roe. While Frank was very young, the Roe family moved to the Town of Wolf River, Langlade County in WI. After his schooling was complete, Frank served his country in the Army during the Korean War. After returning from service, he found work both on local farms and within the cheese industry, and later drove milk truck for Dupont Cheese in the late 1950’s. Frank was united in marriage to Severna Much at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Town of Dupont on September 10, 1960; the couple had three children. In 1963, he moved to the state of Washington to work as a farm hand, and later retired to Denver, CO where he has resided since.

His daughters: Mary (Rob Klatt) Roe, Manawa

                           Margie (David) Kowalski, Iola

His son: Frank (Shelly Swan) Roe Jr., Shawano

Grandchildren: Benjamin Roe, Jasmine McCarville, & Megan Van Dyke

Brothers: John Roe, Larry Roe, & Everett Roe

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters; & a brother.

A graveside committal service and burial will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, August 30, 2016 Langlade Cemetery, Town of Wolf River, Langlade Co. with Benjamin Roe officiating. Military honor rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #524, White Lake.

The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Marion is assisting his family with the arrangements.
