Harland, I have such nice memories of "re-meeting" you some 30 years ago when I was in my early 20's. I had just moved to Marion, and you walked up to me in the Bowling Alley and said "I know you...who are your parents?" I told you and you said "yep, I knew I knew you". Then you re-introduced yourself to me as my dad's cousin. For several years you kept your eye on me :-) almost like an "uncle" figure to me until I moved out of Marion. Thank you for the good story times sitting at the end of the bar, it had been years since I had seen you until we saw each other at Reuben's funeral earlier this year. I am glad you, my dad and I had the chance to sit next to each other and visit. Dad has since gone, so I hope you two are up there tipping a few back and maybe you can let him know you thought I was a good kid :-) You will be missed! Kathy

Alice, Harlan was a great man and will dearly be missed. Our sympathy to you and all the family. Memories are a wonderful thing to have and hold on to, that can never be taken from us. He is now at peace with our Heavenly Father.

To Alice and family. We are sorry for your loss. May you have good memories to remember Harland by. I believe he went for the ride over Denali in Alaska some years ago on the bank trip. Cancer can be devastating but when you get into your grief , may the fun things help you.

Alice and family, You have our sincere sympathies. Harland will be missed a lot. I remember talking to him at my brothers funeral in February. He fought a hard battle.
