Dear Sanny, I was so sad to hear about your loss. Peter was an amazing man with wonderful values and ideals. He touched so many throughout his life and will continue to touch lives in the future in so many ways because of the values and enthusiasm for life that he passed on to all who knew him.. I am so fortunate to have know Peter during our work together with the Northeast Wisconsin Land Trust in preserving forever your beautiful land along the Embarrass River. What a legacy he leaves. How we all shall miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

May you all be comforted by the prayers and cares of so many as you say good-bye (for now) to your beloved Pete. We very much appreciated having him as our veterinarian right up until the day he retired from doing that...his knowledge, suggestions, friendliness and general conversation was so appreciated. May you be blessed in many ways in the days to come.

I am so thankful for the life and service of "Mr. O" (as my students referred to him as). He patiently taught so many if my 5th graders during our annual trips to NNC for outdoor classes. He didn't just teach them about nature, but how to think....REALLY think! I will miss his calm and patient teaching style, and am selfishly sad for "our"loss. But will always be grateful for the little part of himself he left with my students and me.

Pete and I joined the The Nature Conservancy Board the same year as we often joked about. He was incredibly committed to TNC's work and brought a unique combination of science and philanthropy to our Board. We'll miss his smile, his good natured humor, his insight and his dedication to conserving our Earth. Our deepest condolences to Sanny and his family.
