Welcome to the memorial page for

Sharon Diane (Radtke) Lozier

May 3, 1939 ~ March 25, 2015 (age 75) 75 Years Old

Sharon Diane (Radtke) Lozier, 75, of Marion, passed away Wednesday evening, March 25, at Pine Manor Healthcare Center after a valiant 8 year battle with cancer.

Sharon was born May 3, 1939, in New London, the eldest daughter of the late Ernst and Marcella (Buss) Radtke. She attended McKinley School and graduated from Marion High School in 1957. On July 11, 1964, she married Jack Lozier at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marion. Upon graduation, she worked as a teller at Dairyman’s Bank, Clintonville, for many years.  During this time, she also helped her brother, Jim, on the family farm. Not being able to stay away from the banking industry, she later took a job as a courier for Premier Community Bank, Marion. Sharon was very active in her church and community. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, and served on various church committees. She was an initial committee member for the Marion Historical Society, was an election worker for the Town of Grant and until her health deteriorated, organized the annual McKinley School Reunion. She enjoyed bowling for many years on local leagues. What others would consider back breaking work; Sharon enjoyed picking stones to create her beautiful rock and flower beds. She was well known in the Town of Grant for her bounteous vegetable garden and beautiful flowers. She was always available to help family, friends, and neighbors in need, whether it be a ride to a doctor appt. or just a listening ear.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Jack, and their children: Kaylene (Lance) Tischauser, Appleton, and Tom (Sandy) Lozier, Stevens Point; 2 granddaughters: Taylor and McKenzie Tischauser, both of whom she loved to spoil and was extremely proud of, and 4 granddogs: Molly, Rudy, Tillie and Oliver. She is also survived by her sister, Ronda Radtke, and brother, Jim (Jayne) Radtke, both of Marion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister: Carole Radtke, in-laws: Earl and Elsie Lozier, brother-in-law: Eugene Lozier.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, March 28, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Marion with the Rev. Bradley Dokken officiating.

Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11 AM until the time of the service. A lunch will be served in the fellowship hall following the service. Interment will take place at Greenleaf Cemetery, Marion in the Spring.

Sharon’s family would like to thank Dr. Wm. Guenther and his staff at Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology, S.C. for their knowledge and compassion in helping Sharon fight her battle with cancer. We also want to thank the staff at Pine Manor Healthcare Center for the excellent care given to Sharon the last 2 years. Thank you to all who visited mom during her illness and stay at Pine Manor. Your visits were greatly appreciated and enjoyed.
